Frank Madsen is one of the country’s most experienced comic book creators and will be visiting Copenhagen Comics 2024
Franks Madsen started making comics from a very young age and his first professional comic book assignment was a 13-page Woody Woodpecker story that he wrote and drew for Swedish publisher Semic. It was published in Danish back in 1985.
Over the years, Frank has created gems such as Stegte Striber, the LEGO comic Jim Spaceborn, the adventure series about Kurt Dunder and the comic strip Eks Libris, which he wrote while Sussi Bech drew them. Kurt Dunder is almost a classic in Danish comics. It dates back to 1988 with the story “Kurt Dunder i Afrika”. Later came stories where Kurt Dunder has been to Greenland, Jordan and Tyrol.
In addition to comics, Frank Madsen also writes books and has written and illustrated a large number of children’s books, including “Søren tror ikke på bøhmænd”, “Hvor er Kaj?”, “Snus Mus” and “Mis med de store kugler”. He has also created storyboards for cartoons and TV commercials, and Donald Duck scripts for Egmont.
You can experience Frank Madsen and many more exciting guests at Copenhagen Comics 2024 on May 18-19, 2024
