About the festival

Copenhagen Comics is Denmark's largest comic book festival. It has existed since 2004 and has so far taken place 11 times, most recently in 2024 with 4500 visitors.

Copenhagen Comics celebrates all kinds of comics. From good old classics and hard-hitting superheroes, to manga and graphic novels. There’s room for everything from world-renowned Disney series to small, debuting strips.

Copenhagen Comics is the festival for everyone who loves comics, those who love the atmosphere and those who are curious.

The festival offers a wealth of booths, exhibitions, debates and workshops – and of course the opportunity to meet and get signed by your favorite comic book creator.

The festival is held in Valby-hallen, close to Copenhagen South Station. Next time it is the 7th. & 8th of June 8, 2025.

Powered by volunteers

Copenhagen Comics is planned and executed entirely by volunteers who are divided into different work groups.

The festival was started in 2004 by enthusiasts who developed the festival from year to year, each one bigger than the last. We have around 30 volunteers who help plan the festival.

The board is made up of six people, each with a passion and love for comics.

In addition, there is a large group of volunteers, each working on a corner of the festival in different work groups.
