Satirist, social critic, illustrator and cartoonist of 20 years visits Denmark’s largest comic book festival
Johan Krarup is known for his many satirical comics and has a long list of publications to his name.
In 2023, he published Robin får et arbejde, which collects seven stories previously published in Fiesta Magazine, as well as a brand new 100+ page story about early retirees Bruce and Robin on welfare. In the title story, Robin becomes a helper at the Copenhagen Zoo, where he meets Ole, a zookeeper who hates flamingos and turtles but has a deep love for rhinos. A superhero parody that is equal parts silly and fantastically engaging and funny storytelling.
He also holds a Master’s degree in Philosophy from the University of Copenhagen
