Theis Christiansen made his debut as a cartoonist in 1989 in Donald Duck & Co. with the story Uncle Scrooge – Reunion with the Golden Helmet, which won an anniversary competition.
Since then he has created the comic strips Katrine & Muffe, Den kiosk and – most famously – Esben er bitter
A satire about the modern divorcee and single dad struggling to find his way in a life where you don’t feel at home.
Theis Christiansen has previously received the Gantriis Prize. He has been nominated for the Ping Prize four times. He lost every time. In return, he won 137kr in 2023. in Lotto
