Our poster 2026

Dear Cartoonist: We need your help! đź’™ Are you part of the program or do you have a stand? Then we'd like to tell you about this year's poster - and how to get on.

The purpose of the poster is first and foremost to raise awareness of the festival. Both in the streets and digitally. It’s also a way to draw attention to all the amazing cartoonists who are an important part of the culture and industry here in Denmark and around the world.

As you know, Copenhagen Comics is 100% run by volunteers. A few years ago, we changed the structure to spread the work over more hands. Today, we are about 30 volunteers divided into different working groups. This has made many things much easier, as we have more hands and better sparring. It has also meant new challenges, such as communication internally between us volunteers – and externally between us and you, the cartoonists, publishers and shops that are co-creators of the festival.

Some cartoonists have therefore experienced not being on the printed poster because a message has been lost or a deadline has slipped. This is super annoying, and we want to avoid that!

You are all an important part of the comic community and of creating Denmark’s largest comic festival together.

This year’s poster will be different

Our poster this year is illustrated by cartoonist Petra Hauthorn Svennevig, who graduated from The Animation Workshop in Viborg in 2023. The poster is based on the theme “Hope”.

There will be three types of posters used to draw attention to the festival:
The festival poster – in two versions, one physical and one digital. And then a ‘name poster’, focusing on the artists/guests.

This year’s festival poster will be printed and hung up to promote the festival.
You will be able to find it in the streets of Copenhagen, at your local library, comic shops and the like. On the poster there will be a QR code that refers to an overview of all our guests/artists, which will be updated regularly.

We’ll also create a digital version of the poster where all guests/artists who have signed up before the deadline will be included.

The third edition of the poster will be a “name poster”, inspired by the big music festivals. It will primarily be released digitally, but can also be printed.
Again, it is important that our communication group is notified before the deadline.

We would love to have you all join us!

Help us help you – fill out the form to join us.
We know it’s an extra task, but we hope you’ll help us keep an overview and communication between festival and artists. So that everyone gets on. Thank you in advance!
We look forward to seeing you in Valby Hallen for Denmark’s largest comic festival.
