Meet Sussi Bech as she signs “Inge Lehmann – Jordens indre kerne,” “Nofret,” “Nofret – Paint Book,” “Den store Finn Sysholm,” “Aida Nur,” “Københavnermysteriet,” and all her other comics at Forlaget Eudor’s booth – all day on both May 23 and 24.
And as usual, Sussi will also have a good stack of original drawings with her, available at various prices.

Sussi Bech was born in 1958 in Birkerød. She has created more than 20 comic albums featuring the Cretan princess “Nofret,” the dancer and adventurer “Aida Nur,” “Dalila den Drevne,” and other characters – often with themes from antiquity. She has also illustrated the comic strip “Eks Libris” in Weekendavisen, drawn children’s books featuring “Kaj og Andrea,” “Snus Mus,” and “Emmy,” and written the books “Aziru,” “På ferie med Emil,” and “Gravrøverens lærling.”
Sussi has received several awards, including the BØFA Prize, the Ping Prize, the Birkerød Culture Award, the Hanne Hansen Prize, and in 2015 the Swedish Adamson statuette, awarded at the 50th anniversary celebration of the Swedish Comics Academy in Stockholm.
In 2020, together with Ingo Milton and Jens Olaf Pepke Pedersen, she created the comic “Ørsted. He Electrified the World,” which became the best-selling Danish comic story of that year, with six print runs so far and more than 7,000 copies sold. In 2022, the 13th and final volume in the Nofret series, “Tutankamon,” was released. In 2023 came the publication of the comic “Københavnermysteriet” and a new, updated edition of “Aida Nur.”
Last year Sussi came out with “Inge Lehmann – Earth’s Inner Core,” made in colaboration with Helle Houkjær.
Now she is working on a new comic, with the first volume planned for release in 2027.
