In April, Sofie Riise Noor’s new graphic novel Jeg var din muse will be released. With sharp satire, she focuses on the muse throughout history, in mythology and in our time. She gives the microphone to women who have been overshadowed by men and their art.

Meme-account administrator, cartoonist, illustrator, author and speaker. Sofie Riise Nors’ CV is now long and includes feminist and norm-critical satire, where she advocates for the right to cultivate the feminine and sexy without shame.

In 2017, she graduated from Design School Kolding. In 2019, she illustrated Gode Kasser by Ditte Hansen and Louise Mieritz.

In 2021, she made her debut as a comic book author with Sexmagasinet vol. 1. A feminist graphic novel that explores topics such as femininity, the male gaze, sexuality and shame.

This year sees the release of Jeg var din muse, where Sofie Riise Noors explores what it means to be someone’s muse and the benefits and dangers of being the object of someone else’s creativity. She lets the women tell their side of the story while turning her critical lens on the men who have exploited and abused women in the name of “art”

You can meet Sofie Riis Noors and many more exciting guests at Copenhagen Comics on May 18-19, 2024
