Experience an illustrator who conveys both everyday stories and life’s big questions with a very special line.
Ina Korneliussen is a cartoonist with a particular delight in telling stories about the small skirmishes and big problems of everyday life, often mixed with magical elements where you least expect it. This can be seen in releases such as Små dyr (2013), ÆG (2018) and Der Findes ikke Monstre (2021). She is also the creator of the small zine Fiskeben.
In 2023, “Den største historie” was published, a story that answers the biggest question a child can ask – and one that few adults dare to try to answer. What is a human being? Throughout 200 pages, the reader is taken through the exciting stuff: the Big Bang, stars and plants, ancient animals, evolution and humans.
Korneliussen has illustrated all 200 pages and supports the story, which is written by Julie Bang, Johan Olsen and Benni Bødker. Ina Korneliussen manages to use the comic book medium to communicate science to children and is doing her part to ensure that comics can take over the world.
You can meet Ina Korneliussen and many more exciting guests at Copenhagen Comics 2024 – the 18. And May 19 in Øksnehallen.
